Better Insurance home policies are twelve (12) months in length, from the coverage start date that you select.

When you apply for a quote for a Better Insurance policy, your credit information or other third party consumer reports may be obtained to offer a price uniquely for you, depending on your state. Don't worry though, any credit inquiry is considered a 'soft hit' that won't affect your credit score in any way.

If you're moving, you will need to cancel your existing Better Insurance home policy and purchase a new one (if you're moving to a state where Better Insurance is available).
